In the midst of forest fires, a special friendship forms between two women who could hardly be more different in their relationship to their roots. It was important for the film music to reflect the omnipresent threat posed by the surrounding forest fires. I synthesized recordings of fires in order to musicalize the deep roar of large fires on the one hand and to work with the erratic rhythm of cracking wood on the other. As a contrasting timbre to the more pad-like fire tracks, I added a melodic motif of friendship, which I synthesized from voice recordings.
